Arthur J. Vomberg
1894 - 1969 Mr. Vomberg was a lifelong resident of Eaton County, Michigan, where he and his family were in the retail clothing business. While Mr. Vomberg was a lifelong bachelor, he had an intense appreciation and interest in the education of area youth. It was his wish to help make further education possible for students without financial means to do so. With that objective in mind, The Vomberg Foundation was established in 1961. During his lifetime, Mr. Vomberg funded the foundation by making annual contributions. Upon his death, he left his entire estate to the foundation. Today the foundation stands as a living memorial to Mr. Vomberg's commitment to educational opportunity for the youth of Eaton County. |
